2017 has been a great year for Active. We have welcomed new faces, new clients,
participated in lots of events and banked some great achievements along the way. We
would like to share with you the highlights of 2017 and preview our 2018 plans.
New faces
Over the year Active has welcomed a number of new faces across the entire business, and with rapid growth plans for the years' ahead, Active is working hard to put in place the best talent to support the business.
Awards
2017 has seen great success for Active. Not only did Active Director, Adrian Powell scoop up the IoD London & South East Director of the Year Award, he was then shortlisted and awarded the Highly Commended award for the UK finals!
In addition, Active was nominated for the Pride of Reading Awards for the 3rd time and awarded highly commended for the SME of the Year Award in the Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards.
In celebration
In celebration of exceeding its targets for 2017, Active took the team on an all-expenses weekend away to Nice, France to celebrate. The team flew out during the early hours of Friday the 6th of October and enjoyed a fun-filled weekend including a coastal boat tour, a day of sightseeing in Nice, lunch by the sea in Monte Carlo, and a trip to Monaco before returning on the Sunday evening.
Active's Summertime Boat Party
On June the 8th the Active team along with a number valued clients and contractors boarded the Georgian for our first ever Active Summertime Networking Boat Party. The day was filled with great discussions as our clients were able to meet members of the team and other FM professionals across a range of different industries.
With the addition of a Jazz band keeping us entertained, as well as a caricature artist and plenty of food and drink, the day was a great success! We look forward to bringing you news of 2018's event.
Plans for the new year...
In the new year Active plans to refurbish and expand its existing Reading HQ to assist with the growth of the business. The new office space will offer a variety of collaborative working areas as well as multiple meeting rooms and quiet spaces to fully showcase Active's refurbishment works and skills.
