The British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) is an accredited certification body offering personnel certification against criteria set out in international and European standards, through the internationally recognised PCN Certification Scheme.
When BINDT decided to relocate from their office within the University of Northampton to a building requiring extensive fit out works, Active Workplace Solutions were successful in their bid to provide a complete turnkey solution. The project included the installation of new power supply, switching to mains pressure water supply throughout, the installation of a new kitchen and breakout area, redecoration works and the construction of a lift shaft and subsequent installation of a passenger lift alongside the relocation of circa 70 office staff.
Active solution
The works carried out involved Active Workplace Solutions' appointed Project Manager engaging with various third-party suppliers to ensure the works were carried out and completed within tight time and budget constraints with the client kept informed throughout. The Active Workplace Solutions fit out team delivered the works to schedule adapting their work programme to suit the changing requirements of the client as well as overcoming the challenges thrown up when taking on a building which had stood vacant for some time.
The project was conducted efficiently and in a timely manner, with the move taking place over the August Bank holiday weekend which meant there was very little disruption to the business. BINDT were able to move into a fresh new office space created to their design and specification.
