Channel 4 works across television, film and digital media to deliver some of the
most captivating television on air today.
Channel 4 needed to refurbish its London HQ and then relocate 1,300 members of
staff into it while making sure there was no downtime.
Active solution
Active Workplace Solutions initiated pre-planning and communication meetings to ensure all parties were completely happy with relocation and phased migration. Work was carried out over weekends and through the evenings to ensure no downtime occurred. Before the move, Active Workplace Solutions fitted the office with new furniture and installed extensive building protection. As part of managing the move, Active Workplace Solutions supplied crate and material hire, decommissioned and recommissioned IT, printers and telephones, thoroughly cleaned Channel 4's IT equipment and packed and unpacked bulk filing systems. Active Workplace Solutions also provided pre- and post-relocation support throughout.
The year-long refurbishment and relocation operation was a complete success, winning praise – and repeat custom – from the client.
