In addition to producing medicines and vaccines, GSK markets leading brands such as over-the-counter medicines Panadol and Gaviscon, dental products Aquafresh and Macleans, smoking control product Niquitin and nutritional healthcare drinks.
GSK had an extensive list of health and safety and workplace compliance-related
projects to complete and needed an expert in the field to accommodate them
all.
Active solution
The internal design and refurbishment brief included reconfiguring the office space to create quiet booths, glass-partitioned meeting rooms, new carpet, décor and electrics; refurbishing shower rooms; managing an end-to-end acoustics solution; providing an anti-slip treatment; and creating bespoke carpentry. Active also concurrently managed an external space refurb project comprising jet washing car parking areas and other spaces, clearing bird waste and installing bird deterrents, marking the roads, fencing the perimeter and installing road bollards.
Active managed the multi-faceted project extremely well, becoming an integral part of the team. Active now works with GSK on a regular ongoing basis, providing specialist project management across the company.
